Style

As a studio artist she has actively engaged in exploring both structural and functional aspects of form, often combining both, creating evocative pieces that are both sculptural and functional. She works in stoneware, porcelain, clay with grog, paper clay and slip casting. She throws on the wheel, extrudes, and hand builds her pieces often combining multiple techniques in one piece. She fires her pieces using oxidation, reduction, smoke, and raku techniques. The scope of her knowledge and mastery of glazes and finishes is evident throughout her work.
